Intro
- Gopi welcomed the participants and gave a small introduction about ILUGC
Talk 0
- Irfan started the talk with the history of operating systems
- He introduced how ttys were the earliest interactive i/o systems
- Explained meaning of terminals and how modern terminal emulators are different
- Distinguished between shells and terminals
- Demonstrated the linux command structure along with shell environments
- He also explained how processes are forked in linux

Talk 1
- Syed starting his talk by explaing the nature of ctfs
- He explained the logical steps involved in sovling ctfs
- Showcased various websites like Hackthebox and W3challs
- Demonstrated a live ctf by solving a hack the box machine
- He also showed various tools and his own methodology in solving ctfs

Talk 2
- Madhav wanted to give a brief talk about the Linux xz backdoor
- He explained open source contributions and the history of xz
- Talked about “Jia Tan”, a malicious actor that contributed to xz
- Explained how xz was manipulated using the global offset table
- He discussed how open source still remains secure

Post Talk Discussion
- We had a discussion about the security in open source
- Participants suggested for an ice breaker session between talks
- They were also informed about the ILUGC mailing list and matrix channel
