[Event Report] FOSS FDP in S K R Engineering College on 13/08/12 & 14/08/12

On behalf of ILUGC, myself conducted a two days FDP on open source lab
in S K R engineering college, near poonamallee on 13/08/12 & 14/08/12.
Faculty members from the following engg. colleges attended the
training program.

The following topics were covered in the workshop

kernel compilation
virtualization using QEMU
version control system setup and usage using SVNEdge
network configuration
gui programming using qt
package management in fedora using YUM/createrepo
GNU build tools (autoconf, automake)
introduction to fuse
